Cafeteria The school breakfast/lunch is an important part of the school program and should provide a learning situation in nutrition, cleanliness, and good manners. The school lunchroom is operated under the National School Lunch/Breakfast Program. The lunchroom serves well-balanced meals as determined by the National Lunch Program for elementary and secondary schools at reasonable prices. Free and reduced meals are available for those who qualify. Please return applications for free and reduced price school meals the day after you receive them. They must be filled out completely and correctly or they will be sent back home. This will delay processing information and approval. Meal prices are set by the Baldwin County Board of Education: Breakfast: K-8 - $1.00 Lunch: K-6 - $1.75 7-8 - $2.00 Adults - $3.25* *Some a la carte items available to 7-8 graders only. State regulations prohibit Child Nutrition personnel from accepting "charges" for meals in the cafeteria. Students who don’t have lunch money are not to borrow money from the school office. In the past, funds have been provided by the PTSO for lending, but because of state regulations regarding charges the funds allowed are very limited. Please be sure your child has breakfast/lunch money each day. In an emergency a student may borrow one time, -- after that they will be given milk and a roll as stipulated by state regulations under the National School Lunch Program requirements. Students may purchase a meal ticket for the week during Monday homeroom or pay by the meal at the cash register checkout. Students may not leave the cafeteria without permission from the duty teacher. Pre-pay for School Meals at PayPAMS!
