First, let me tell you how excited I am to be the new principal of Elberta Middle School. Having been in Baldwin County for the past 8 years, I know the reputation that Elberta Middle School has had academically and athletically. I am looking forward to continuing to improve our school and do what is best for your children. I was born and raised in Sylacauga, Alabama. I graduated from the University of North Alabama in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in History and English (7-12). My first teaching job was in Birmingham City Schools at West End High School. I then moved to Buckhorn High School in 1994 where I taught English and coached basketball and tennis. In 1998, I moved to Meridianville Middle School, where I taught 7th and 8th grade English and Social Studies. In 2002, I received my Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Alabama. My wife and I then moved to Magnolia Springs. I coached and taught at Gulf Shores High School for 2 years before moving to J. Larry Newton School as assistant principal. My most recent job was serving as assistant principal at Spanish Fort Elementary School before coming to Elberta. I have been married to Jennifer Cardwell for 14 years. We have two boys (Isaac, 4 and Eli, 1). They are my joy. I am looking forward to meeting your kids, and I give you my guarantee that your child and you will always be treated fairly and with respect.
